Just wanted to know how many people had applied for medicine this year and if it was above/below or just average.
And if possible..for Manchester in particular.

I believe on the UCAS website thye have all the stats you could ever want, however, I dont know if its just general stasts they give or degree specific stats.

I don't think you can select the subject area and university together. I tried doing this myself.

Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Veterinary Medicine
The number of people who applied by 15 October to courses in medicine has risen by 22.19% (3,116) on last year. There has also been a 18.38% (360) increase in the number of applicants to dentistry courses. However, there were 7.01% (112) fewer applicants to veterinary science and veterinary medicine for 2004 entry.

Dont think that you will be able to find out about manchester though...unless through them.
