Hello everyone, I am planning on studying medicine next yer, and was wondering if anyone could reccomend me places to apply.
I know this sounds silly but i dont have any drs in my family so dont know where is good and where isnt etc.

If im wanting to work abraod after would it make a difference where i went?

What are the best schools in the UK?

Are there any good ones up north? Have they got international rep's?

Which are the best 4-6 med schools in the country (excluding scot/wales/irl)?
Thank you very much,

My (completely biased) list would be:

1. UCL
2. Imperial
3. KCL
4. Nottingham
5. QMW
6. St George's

Ok, I'm London biased, and my friends are at these schools. But they are well know abroad. And all the above are well respected.

If you are into the science a lot, check out Oxford, Cambridge.

Manchester and Newcastle are very reputable, and are up North.

Liverpool is very good for medicine, a friend of mine turned down Oxford for lpool as it had a better course apparently. Birmingham is also meant to be good from what i have heard!

Newcastle I think.

I'm very pro london medical schools too - 3 of my choices were from London because you can find some of the best medical cases/hospitals there
