i used to have one...i didnt do anything apart from laugh a lot and sit up in bed for the remote..no joke.
as long as the area isnt covered by fat then you can start toning up the muscles by doing abdominal crunches etc..you should find that helps over time.

yes you need about 10% body fat for the muscles to show... you can do all the stomach crunches you want - that will make the muscles take their shape, but as long as theres that layer of fat over the top, no one will see them. Do you see?

yes, u can be really skinny and get a six pack because there are little fat surrounding that abdominal area. Humans "naturally" have a six-pack but it is just buried under layers of fat. Other people who arent skinny such as Arnold Schwartznegger (cant spell), male models etc, get six-packs because they have increased their abdominal muscles' size through certain exercises, so it shows up just like how some people do dumbells alot and get larger biceps.

With regards to the types of exercises required to get a six-pack - I'm not sure LOL. *I think* skinny girls don't get a six-pack because they actually ironically enough have enough fat in that area, taking into account their height/size and food consumption is less than men.

On another note, athletic/sporty men with an average waist can get six-packs *without* doing any type of exercise that can purposely increase their ab. muscles - which is a bit bizzarre, but I think perhaps their exercise from sporty activities impartially reflects onto their ab. muscles?

10% bf. Do woodchopper exercises for the full pack or use the ab machines down the gym for the top 4.

Check out the thread of fitness plans in the armed forces forum in careers. I'm sure doing the Royal Marine Commandos fitness plan would get you one.

Women naturally have more body fat than men, and having a proper six-pack isn't exactly seen as attractive. Make sure you're doing sit-ups properly and combine it with cardio to burn the fat and you'll get toned. You don't want to be a female Arnie if you're going to be a model.

Women have higher bodyfat% than men because they store fat in areas such as boobs and arse which men don't, for a women to have a 6-pack you'd probably get one at about 16-18%, for men its usually about 12%.

I wish you'd stop posting this ***** in these threads - it won't, it'll help you get fit for royal marine commando selection, not get you a 6-pack.

Whats up with you? I posted it three times as they are good fitness programs. It isn't **** as you said, but tried proven and helpful fitness plans. Why not post them if someone is looking to get fit?

How do you do situps properly? and whats seen as cardio exercise?

To be honest, im awfully lazy when it comes to doing exercise, I dont mind it, and i love going out on my bike, but I dont ever do much, or anything regularly. I dont know how to do proper sit ups, maybe thats why my lower back hurt after doing some last time i tried! id like to get a toned stomach at least  any tips on that, and not a "6 pack", I wouldnt want one tbh

it makes me laugh that people STILL think doing loads of situps will get them a sixpack. Its a science.

If you think that, dont waste your time - you wont get one.

It's not the only factor, no, but you're not gonna get one without it!

Hmm, I've got a six pack and there's probably plenty of fat on me - I've never done anything special to get it - other than being active when I was young.

I certainly don't bother doing exercises - although if you probably need to do them to get one in the first place.

Yes you are, as me and hundreds of other said in countless other threads, to get a 6pack you need to lose fat, not build your abs.

Its just like somebody whos never done a bicep curl in their life, they still got biceps ain't they?
