The season started so well and it just began to slowly crack after episode 16/17. I thought the finale was poor. Just too many coincidences, no surprises, too predictable.
Well it hasn't finished yet on Sky One but it's getting kinda predictable: as soon as Jack gets any sort of mini-victory, somehow he's forced by the enemy to switch sides (kidnap daughter, threaten to kill his wife etc). So he betrays CTU/FBI under their nose, they go on an all-out manhunt, he evades by somehow finding someone (gullible) on the inside to help. Finally they catch up to him by which time he's done whatever he had to do and now convinces them it was really for the greater good. Jack's a hero again. But wait, he's about to get another phone call phone call... rinse repeat.
What a mega cra..ppy finale. Poor, Predictable. What a load of tosh. I'll watch it when it comes back but in all honesty, it should have ended two seasons ago.
The finale was bad. The layer by layer ultimate story of Almeida's motive was poor. Remember Jack's brother was behind Logon? They did it a bit too far... They should have at least done Bauer shutting the shutter onto Almeida, that would have been hilarious. Tbh, they should have stopped it after season 5; it's gone done hill since.

It's a carbon copy of Season 6 in terms of quality; fantastic opener, good/plausible storyline for 3 quarters of the season, then it turns utter crap. Last year the turning point was Fayed getting hung, this time it's after Jack got infected.

However, Kim catching fire, accompanied by the little grunts/squealing, was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.
its been clear since day one that 24 isn't quite good enough for ermm, 24 episodes, it always peaks at 12-17 episodes because that is where the first arc really finishes.

The problem is that if they want to be like season 1 they need to make every single episode end with a thrilling ending, which means they end up having to finish the first arc midway through - what they need a slightly slower story build up that peaks rigtht at the end of the 24th episode.

Season 1 wasn't like that, there were some dud endings. Which is fine. The important thing is that the main baddy remains the main baddy throughout, and not just be superseded by some suit with 2 episodes left. And a cool, final showdown setting, like the stadium in S2. That was fun.
Bring Nina Myers back. Hehe.
Something that's really bugging me...

Is it me or was Janis a mole? Wasn't she working for Debaku? And the other guy was too but he got found out. If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it, it's been bugging me haha.

errrm...Is that something that has been bugging you after you've watched a certain number of episodes? or after the whole season? If the latter =

Nope not the whole series, I haven't watched the final 2 yet :P
Last two? Hmmm the answer to your question should def. be clear by now. No lol :P
I wanted Janice to die. She has a really annoying face that needs shooting.
Double episode season finale this evening.

Anyone else seriously excited?
hmmmm, was alright guess. they really need to reboot it back to its roots, casino royale style. i remember season 1 where they could create an intense and engaging situation with just a couple of women getting kidnapped, rather than OMG 1000's ARE GOING TO DIE!!!111!!! then, actually that wasn't the real attack, its this one where SEVERAL THOUSANDS ARE GOING TO DIE. it just loses all the atmosphere when it gets ridiculous like that.

:yep: Me too...
I actually enjoyed the finale.

Thought it was good so see a bit more action than previous weeks (could have done with more though! :p: ) and Tony's ultimate motive, despite being a little bit OTT, was saved by a great performance from Carlos Bernard.

The last 30 minutes dragged a bit, but they didn't do themselves any favours by leaving too many loose threads to deal with.

Kim on fire = win though. :yep:
