Ballet is ok, went to see Nutcracker at the Kremlin in Moscow. Was ok, fell asleep in the first half (due to late nights in Russia) but second half was mildly entertaining.

I have utmost respect for Ballerina's*, especially males, its a diginified and hard art - definately worth of appraisal.

I think Jamie Oliver.

Well I'm not very into ballet myself so can't really comment. I've never really liked it.

As for men doing ballet - well I guess it's normal but I wouldn't do it if I were a man...

the men that do ballet are the bravest people i know.....they face ridicule at school for one of the most refined and well known arts in the world....plus, ballet is actually harder than a TON of other sports...so if you are a guy doing ballet, go for it! it gets you fit, if nothing else!

I just don't think it's very masculine - it's not really a man thing.

Ballet probably requires more skill and strength than most sports that would be considered more manly.

And, like most things in life, if someone wishes to do ballet than they should be allowed without being stereotyped.

I respect them. Besides, they're very very fit! They have to throw women around, after all - even though the ballerinas are only about eight stone max, I bet it's still damned hard work!

I never said it was a bad thing - they're very brave. I just hate ballet anyway, but if I liked it I would think it's normal for men.

It seems strange, but there's nothing wrong with it.

guys have to be in dance, or else who would lift the girls? besides i think ballet is one of the manliest things a guy can do.....dont listen to the stereotypes, those people are just ignorant and have no apprecaition for the art!

I know, it wasnt a a personal dig at you.

There is just way too many stereotypes that still exist, but realistically should have been left in the 19th century.
