Which is more important, english language or english literature?

I'm crap at both but I just wondered:rolleyes:
Which one do you need a C in? or is it both?

as far as I'm aware its language you need the C in at gcse.

As for which is more important- literature for A level...though considering your 'crap at both' I guess it doesnt matter as you wont be taking them

Literature at A level was the best decision I ever made.
English language is the more basic one and also the one you need - but Literature is looked upon more highly.

How come?

Language is a necessity, but I consider Literature to be more important.

English Language, Lit is just an extra qualification.

I always thought Language was the more important one, but at A-Level, Literature is considered the more important, valuable one.

GCSE - Language is more important. It doesn't really matter if you fail lit.

A-level - Literature is more respected than language.

English Language is more important at GCSE. It's better to pass both.
