what sort of theme nights have you got planned for us, or are you going to keep us in suspense until we arrive!

Hey lisa have u bought a platinum card yet? Im in butler too this year and i know they have big nights planned for us away from the union.. iv already bought one but im wondering if we will be going to enough events in freshers to save us money..

Butlerian here too. I bought a Platinum Extra card, which will get me into everything throughout the year, so I'm quids in. On a semi-related note, if you thought you'd have a better night in the Union than a Hall night out to Nottingham etc.. I take it we could stay on campus?

juno_jim - the platinum card is active for the whole academic year. You get a freshers ball ticket with it and selected free entries throughout the year.
No hall will stay in Loughborough for the duration of freshers week. You will find that you will probably only attend 3 or 4 nights in the Union through freshers.
If you go out as much as most Butlerites do...you WILL save money with a platinum and definitely with platinum extra!!

haha i have jus recieved the finalised freshers week plans this morning....We are gona have such a giggle!
For theme nights bring....
Beachwear( an excuse for committe to perv on the fresh) lol
999...doctors nurses, firemen(boys..yes please) and anything else that comes to mind when u think 999
we also have the usual skool boy/gurl nights out planNed
and then there is stupid sports weAr...think sweatbands bright colours...basically 80's skool p.e kit will do( haha)
and then we move onto my fav theme.....SUPERHEROES!
SO MUCH FUN....XX
bring anything fancy dress im sure it will come in hand throught out the year!

i dressed up as super girl for my friends 18th, i looked soo good, shame it was a hired costume! i cant wait it sounds so much fun!

I'm good thanks. u? Bored at home now, wanna be back in Butler!! I'm positive there's someone on here with one of the new rooms but I think it's a girl. I might've just made that up though!!
I can't remember what colour our stash is 'cos every time I asked in meetings everyone just told me to shut up! Although Royal Blue does ring a bell to me!!

Whatever guess we'll have to wait and see.

Technically Yes,

Although our rugby tops (part of our hall stash) are red and dark blue, with a bit of white flung in there!

how random, although we were thinking of having yellow freshers t-shirts, before we decided not too as it wasn't hall colours.

We only really do it to piss Faragay off, cos they think that yellow is their colour when it's clearly not. Our IMS tops are red and yellow!

my bf has heard a rumour that there are going to be temporary wall divides in the rooms in butler to create more privacy! i dont believe it myself but i suppose it could be true!

Dividing the rooms would make them very very small, and would restrict access to the ensuite. In some of the rooms it might be possible but with the arrangement of the furnishings it would be very problematic!

I cant see them putting in these temporary divides!
