Nice way to get personal and rude, a little decorum wouldn't go amiss. No, I didn't do GCSEs, I don't know how I got into uni, nor how I have all my qualifications.

Of course it increases as you move out the city, as does population density etc. etc. regardless. Maybe I will re-word it, where the majority of people live in Manchester (whether they own cars or not) the areas are REFER. Is that ok for you?
don't take it personally! just making a point thats all, and i like statistics

i wasn't incinuating (sp?) anything, i was actually asking if you did geography!

However, most insurers DON'T make it clear about restrictions regarding named drivers, this is when it becomes a difficult area to consider. This is why so many young people make this mistake.
think theres a bit of both to blame. regulations mean insurers SHOULD make it clear but i don't think they are enforced well enough, lack of supervision of call centre staff (calls may be recorded and monitored, i don't think so) for example.

a lot of people insured in their parents name know full well what they are doing though, usually getting a quote in their own name first then finding the cheaper way!

My 1.4 astra costs me £300pa fully comp insurance with one extra named driver.

That's with 6 years no claims.

I really need to go 3rd party now that I'm earning a little bit more and the cars worth a little bit less
My needs business cover though as his machine he uses for business is propably worth more than the car, if the car gets nicked thats covered as well.

The Punto was £400 a year but that was a lot slower than the Escort. We should perhaps consider going third party though, an N Reg Escort with a dent in the tailgate and 90k can only be worth £500.
