ROTFL!

I never buy gold jewellery btw - i hate it. Personally i think it looks cheap and nasty (no offense) I prefer silver. So if anyone's thinking of buying me a belated christmas present...
I love silver, it's prettier

The best gift you can give a girl is YOU. I can understand wanting to buy your lay-dee nice gifts, but you don't want her thinking you are trying to buy her. You're not sum kind of pimp!

I don' think you need to buy things for a girl to impress her/ make her feel special. I love receiving those little things that he made or whatever... the best "gift" my boyfriend ever got me was turning up unexpectantly at my halls the weekend before I came home for xmas just because he coudln't wait to see me again

if i got showered with naff gifts i would think he ddn't really know me

make something for her, it shows u were thinking of her and put the time and effect into producing something unique rather than buying something

shopping is far easier, don't get her anything, then shell wonder why and feel that shes losing you and try extra hard.

that way you get the benefits of giving her a present (she feels more insecure and wants to prove herself to you) without any of the pain, not knowing what to do. Although you have to be a good catch for this to work. Turn the tables.

yeah but theres always the risk she thinks what the hell and goes...( i'm sure she wouldn't) but maybe a sudden 'turn of the tables' would provoke an unpleasant situation

yep -which is totally wrong, although guys still have to do the first approach - because most girls are afraid of getting rejected

think how many girls that you know who claim to have a bf - social proof
now think how many boys you know who have gfs.

It doesn't tally up does it, its cos we are in such demand.

Boys are just as scared at approaching, well i used to be and all my m8s are.

and ur not anymore? how'd u get over it? i think the situation is very much different for me. i go to a girls school so naturally i'm very shy towards approaching people, even for small chat. its like one of those huge disadvantages of going to a one sex school...

where do you go?

I got over it by thinking, whats the worse that can happen, i never see her again/dont get the number, what will happen if i dont go over - exactly the same thing. For girls its easy, especially if they are good looking, i cnat stand there batting my eyelids, even checking them out doesnt always work.

I go to a mixed school, private school but it doesnt really happen as relationships dont work out and you get used to treating girls like blokes, as friends. Then you do that to someone you are hitting on, and they take offence because you treated her like you would a girl at school.

Another trick is becoming the type of person who you are happy with and that you are comfortable as around the other sex.

i go to Rugby High School, ever heard of it? which private school do u go to? i guess i'd really like a guy friend who treats me as u said, just like a bloke, but i don't any chances of meeting people like that. and plus its really hard to batter my eyelids! it just looks as if i'm having a huge muscle spasm

Alleyn's. Yeah i think i have heard of it. Lol, i guess u socialise with boys who go to a singe sex school - cos they tend to twin. This means the boys are all desperate. Girls have all the power in any relationship, because most boys are proper saps.
