Okay, so tomorrow we are all getting our results but a question has just popped into my head.

On the exam slip thing, will there just be one overall grade for the subject? Or will we also find out what we got for coursework in that subject?

    I hope that makes sense.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow. xox.

Just an overall grade. I'm positive. Coursework is built in to the overall assessment as it acts as an exam script i the same way as your paper does. I think they weight the marks according to a given subject. (It's all statistical). So, for example,i n Technology 60% would be for the coursework and 40% for the exam. It is worked out overall - so only one grade is given. which reflects achievement in both parts. Hope that makes sense.

I'm pretty sure that with OCR you get your final grade and beneath that you get the breakdown; you see what grade you got in each component. I could be wrong though!

Perhaps all the others work in the same way. The breakdown would b interesting to see - I especially want to know if they accepted my teacher-assessed full mark piece of RE coursework without changing the mark, so that shouldbe interesting!

Good Luck for tommorow. Ihope you get the grades you deserve.

Even if you don't get the full breakdown on your results slip, your teachers will have the full breakdown, so you can ask them.

It depends on the exam board and subject. For English and English lit on OCR, I got a mark and a grade for each paper and each piece of coursework. For maths on Edexcel, I got a combined mark for both exams and a combined mark for both pieces of coursework, plus an overall grade. For everything else I just got an overall grade.

yes, but its subject to change, you could have a different mark than your teachers told you.

ja, my teachers are lousy markers, one teacher refused to give top marks because he might find one better one day, but he wouldn't give that one 20/20 either because he might find one better.. as he was happy to explain every single lesson.

I've heard that it depends on the exam board. If your doing OCR and Edexcel, then I believe recieve coursework grades and marks you got in the exams, but with AQA, you just get a grade.

Don't hold your breath on what I just wrote cause I'm not 100% sure what I've just said is completely true. Its only what I've heard. Good Luck!
