Yep results will be released on the Thursday nearest to March 15th... think it should be the 12th in 2006...

For Edexcel Biology I cannot recommend these books highly enough:
    http://www.nelsonthornes.com/stoic/P...uct_id=4909677

They're about £12 each and cover the entire course really nicely.

I think those books are confusing and give you wayyy too much information..much more than u need to know. I revised these from these books, which cover the course in sufficient detail, learn everything and you should be fine. They're only about 50 pages each, and they are laid out simply so as not to confuse you, easy to learn from, and good diagrams. They got me through my exams:

    Unit 2:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0003277135/ref=pd_sim_b_dp_5/202-6533342-4700654

    Unit 3:
I can't seem to find it on amazon, but here is the ISBN: 0-00-327714-3

Hope it helps, those books definitely helped me, but everyone is different :p:

And for Chemistry, I recommend "Make the Grade for Chemistry" It covers all units (1-6) and is extremely useful. Its better than the textbooks our school gave us. Though I would recommend using this book in addition to other textbooks which are listed below:

    Make The Grade

    Less useful Textbook (Unit 1)

    Less Useful Textbook (Unit 2)

I wouldn't just use one of those to revise, where there is less explanation for a topic in "Make the Grade" complement it with the other Nelson Thornes textbooks listed above

He asked for good books not good revision books
Although they're smaller volumes they're meant to be used throughout the course, not just as a revision guide

Yes I bought the Collins books at the beginning of the year, and used them instead of the Nelson Thornes ones because I found them crap

I just checked on Amazon and I can't find any Edexcel Collins Books for A2 Chem, Bio or Physics. Though there is a few for AQA Physics, which probably doesn't help you, though there maybe some overlap between the two syllabuses:

AQA Physics (I think its Module 1)

Sorry if its of no use
