I take it the away gal rule isn't operating in the play off between saints/derby

i've always hated saints but i want to see them back in the premiership

its been well bad for the city since they havent been in IMO.

Was thinking the same, is there a specific reason for this?

    Derby into final.

    4-3 on penalties.

What a great game that was.

They've not used it in the playoffs as long as I can remember.
    EDIT: Not since 2000, apparently.

And an ex-Derby player misses Southampton's penalty. I wonder where his loyalties lie

As away goals scored in extra time counted double, the side finishing lower in the league gained an advantage by playing away in the 2nd leg, thus giving them 30 more minutes to score an away goal. The rescindment of the away goals rule has affected the results of several play-off semi-finals.

Gutted for Southampton played the better football over 120 minutes. Was a bit stupid letting Best take one was never going to score after that own goal. Can see them getting automatic promotion next season with or without Bale.

What an amazing, crazy game. Was one of the best i've been to, and I have been to nearly every game in the last 5 years or so. We were so ****ing unlucky, but that's life.

Our fans were brilliant. I'm sure they sounded good on SKY. It's amazing how we took 5000 to Derby for a mid-week game, yet they couldn't sell out their allocation for the Saturday game. Think that proves they don't really have the fan base to be a Premiership club.

I'm so proud to be a SFC supoorter today, even if we did lose on pens.

Personally on paper the saints have a slightly better team as well, maybe next season will be their year, trouble is there will be 12 other teams hoping for the same.

It will be a Derby-West Brom final.

I really hope Derby get promoted. I rather not see the same Premier League sides as one season ago in the Premiership next season with the exception of Reading instead of Charlton.

Not suprising West Brom won, they were the better team on the night, I also hope Derby win the final. It's Oldham and Blackpool tomorrow night on sky.

Lincoln have no luck whatsoever in the play-offs. They're already 2-0 down after 11 minutes, so they need to score 4 times now.
