?

What's wrong with it? No, I haven't seen it.

It's bright pink.

What's Sidney's like, MadNatSci?

The College colours aren't *that* bad (some of the other colleges are truly hideous..). For corpus it's officially cerise and silver (I think), which is effectively pink and silver.

Oh well - we could do worse.

Blue and red, two blocks of colour.

I only asked cos I have a mate at Corpus who didn't realise what colour the scarf would be til he came up - think he found it a bit of a shock!

And if that 'server is too busy' message disrupts my posting one more time I'm going to scream...

Hmmm, don't think I've seen that one. I got my Clare scarf for Christmas  (Black, with two yellow stripes, and crest on the end)

I thought the "silver" looked more cream/grey to me, but that could just be me

ah well, I think me n trini will look wonderfully distinctive...

how much do these scarves cost? are they good quality? where do you get them from?

They're very good quality but they are quite expensive - they range from about £15 to £25. I got mine from Ryder & Amies, on the corner of King's Parade.

OI! You dare sully our fine scarf. Its pink and white (actually it looks quite good, goes with most outfits)
The real horror is Christs scarves - brown
And to be frank all cambridge scarves are way too itchy
As for the silver and pink - thats the ties and bowties. I suggest NOT getting one until you've been here some time. WE love watching egits rock up on the first day in college colours. Worse, I saw an interview candidate wearing a college tie.
sheesh
Am i assuming two of you applied this year to Corpus?

Yep, I applied this year. I still need to get my Further Maths A. Hopefully this should be ok, and I'll be arriving later this year (without wearing College colours  ).

thinking very far ahead there.
Budget - id say 1300-1500 a term = 1500 for 10 weeks = 150 quid a week. might be able to whittle it down to 100 though.
gowns cost a fortune from shops, best off waiting till u get here, arrive early on freshers day, and buy a 2nd hand gown from the jcr. you'll only end up losing it or throwing up on it in 1st term anyway
