Well Anaemia is relatively common because i have it
You don't have enough iron to make haemoglobin :frown:

Anaemia is a separate issue from the other two (in most cases) - simply that you don't have enough red cells/haemoglobin in your blood.

A lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph tissue, predominantly in lymph nodes.

Leukaemia is the formation of abnormal white blood cells by the bone marrow (either myeloid or lymphocytes). These can circulate around the body and may lodge in lymph nodes. Symptoms can be rapid or chronic in onset.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by linked - they are all disorders of the blood/lymphatic system, but one does not necessarily lead to another or anything like that.

Hello, I was wondering if some of you meds or non meds who know their stuff could tell me how linked is Anaemia, Lynphoma and Lukemia? Ive been quite sick lately and my doc has sent me off to have a test of these three. I htink he said it was testing for the amount of red blood cells but im still a little confused.

lymphoma, leukaemia, anaemia.
In many leukaemias especially you become anaemic, and in lymphomas after quite some time you become anaemic. However theres a whole host of things hat make you anaemic - from GI tract bleeding to too little iron, folate, B12. To infections, too much exercise, kidney problems...

ta. As you can tell im not up to the spelling of all these things.

I think the main concern is that apart from being weak ive lost a lot of weight and my skin has become pale (My mother is Spanish so i inherited the olive skin tone) So thats why im being sent off for these ones. I forget what the test is called or what they are specifically looking for.
