Hi, if you fail something does it still have to be put on your UCAS form as a U(u). Or does it not count, as technically you don't have that qualification?

I would recommend you to decline the grade. Therefore, universities won't know that you got a grade U, and no need to put it on your application form.

by the way you cannot decline GCSE's, but for some reason you can decline other qualifications such as AS, A2, AVCE..... etc

Indeed. I think that person means AS/A-levels, as that person is applying to university.

I hope we can decline GCSE grades. I should ask the examinations officer why can't students decline GCSE grades, lol.

LOL! yea that is me But I failed an AEA though, so was wondering what to do because you can't decline them apparently.

You haven't achieved anything. You failed the course. So it's not a qualification and you don't need to state it
