I've seen that some people are saying they're in the top x amount of people who undertook specific GCSE exams. How do you know if you're in the top, say, 5? Do they send you a letter or does it say it on your results slip?

I think you get a separate letter with your results, perhaps not in the envolope but maybe your school would paperclip them together or something. I didn't get any from any board myself so I wouldn't know but i heard that's what happens. I'm not sure about WJEC (I only did RS through them) but with the other boards I think you should know by now. Don't take me word for it though.

I got in the top 10 for Edexcel statistics and i got sent a special letter - "Out of 12555 x was amongst the top 10 who achieved the highest overall marks in statistics..."
I am v. happy and never expected it at all!
