    Is this classed as employment? Im filling an application form for a job in but don't know whether to put my voluntary work in a charity shop under 'emplyment history' or 'skills that will support your application'.

    Id put it under employment history, as it is voluntary work, not voluntary skill building.

    ok suppose you right, its just Im not actually employed since its voluntary.

    well a definition of employed is 'Employment is a contract between two parties, one being the employer and the other being the employee. In a commercial setting, the employer conceives of a productive activity, generally with the intention of creating profits, and the employee contributes labour to the enterprise, usually in return for payment of wages' there is nothing to say you have to be payed to be employed
