Just curious whether there is much of a Latin presence in Cambridge (maybe student clubs, events, etc).

I would have thought that there would be one, there are hundreds of societies, and if not you could always start one. There are bound to be hispanic/latin american students at Cambridge (I'd join myself if i wasn't such a whitey-white boy, even though people do often think im of Latin origin).

Yep, there are big 'Freshers' Fairs' at the sports centre where just about all the societies should be trying to get you to sign up! And giving you freebies (yay!)

Yeah i'd join up to keep my spanish going....its obviously one of the most useful languages, especially when going for jobs in a few years time.

I'm from Canary Islands and applied last year for Economics... and I WAS THE ONLY non-british in that afternoon interviews at Queens' College!!! :frown: and they didnt know how to pronunce my second surname! :frown: Well I'm thinking of reapplying this year (if I dont apply to Oxford) so if I get in I'll be one Spaniard in Cambridge... didnt see any Spaniards last year though... although I've got a friend from Madrid who's going to do NatSci (Physical) this year at Cambridge!
