Ello, am in the process of working out my module choices for combined social sciences too! very exciting! Which subjects are u doing? I'm still undecided so have a module short list of about 8 but I dont seem to get any clashes regardless of the combination. I did get one yellow clash with a tutorial but apparently that doesnt matter, only the red clashes matter coz they are lectures. And if ur lectures clash I dont think there is a hell of a lot they can do. Are u getting red or yellow clashes? It says on the website that email them or phone them if u get major clashes coz sometimes they can work it out if lots of people want to do the same combination...Hope this helps slightly!
Don't bother. The timetable is only provisional at the moment and WILL change. They also show ALL available practical slots. You may have heard about the Big Timetable Fiasco last year, with compulsory modules clashing, and awfully-timed lectures. Hopefully they'll have not cocked it up this year, and we can get decent timetables, instead of 5 9AM starts...bastards....grr.....

Yep, the yellow clashes are tutorials which have multiple slots so you just work out which slot you can fit in and sign yourself up for it. Each module will have one or two lectures a week (ahh....arts!) and if these clash (red) then you can't do both and have to choose between the modules. For Combined there's only the one compulsory module (12pm Fri?) and I think there's a core sociology module that might clash with that slot but generally you should be able to fit the modules you're after into your timetable.
