Profesh
Totally abysmal; what's more harrowing is that one of my two 'B's was an 'A*' prior to the exam. Life, eh?

Profesh, don't be too down on yourself - you speak kick-ass English

Oh, no; now look what you've done: you've only gone and made it worse.

I'm no ingrate: I anticipated 'C's in Maths and Chemistry respectively [having uniformly shirked both revision and homework for the duration of the entire course]; but to slip two tiers in a subject whose coursework returned an aggregate attainment of 96%, and which mark accounts for 60% of one's final grade, was sufficient to disillusion me utterly: I had been at this point the most eminent all-round 'thesp' in my year group, if not the entire school.

In any case it suffices it to say that I would refrain from academic labour of any and all description for the two years proceeding from that moment. That my education should even be deemed 'ongoing' is itself something of a modern-day miracle.

Ah - I generally try to avoid subjective (read risky) subjects such as drama/art/English for public exams. Too much risk-factor involved, you might be marked by an idiot. Whereas with almost any other subject, being marked by an idiot armed with a tight mark-scheme is the norm and fine by me - less hassle. Also, the coursework was all acting right? Or essays? Because if it was acting, well, that's all that counts for a 'thesp' really.

Intriguing; if anything it is that very, perceived "risk" factor [i.e. the frequent misperceptions of blithering idiots] which has worked consistently to my advantage in subjects such as English Literature.

All practical, save for one so-called 'essay'; but it isn't as though I hadn't blitzed the 'mock' exam. In fact [retrospectively ironic], that was the one 'mock' GCSE in which my attainment actually exceeded that of the 'real thing'; to the tune of at least 37%, judging by my final result.

Although, I don't think this analysis is very accurate.

yea the accuracy of the percentile goes down if you take less than 10 GCSEs. That was discussed in the original thread for this tool. Its in this forum somewhere, called 'GCSE Performance'
