The Student Room Group

I just can't understand how can they offer the room to non LondonMet student in the first place. I'm international student and studying for my first year. I submitted my form before the datelien. How impossible it is that i can't get a room. How unfair it is!

By th way Pizzadude, when you submit your application form? May i know which room you got?

Hi Eugenia,

they offered me a "class D room" in flat 36.
Maybe they have a quota or something for London Met students? It's not part of any uni, it's more like a public funded organisation. BTW have you checked the place for yourself? Is it decent? They don't have many photos on their website...

Nop. They will give priority to LondonMet student in the 1st place. LondonMet has a deal with them. Most of the students who reside in Claredale House and Sir John Cass Hall will be LondonMet students. May i know when did you submit your application form and are you a first year student in Queen Mary. Sorry, no offence. I just curious about it.

Yes, i guess you have to check it our yourself. However, what i heard from previous resident is there isnt much socialising. The room is ok.

Hi,

I submitted my application form only a few weeks ago, beginning of August I think. If you really applied before me, they must have forgotten you or they have a certain quota for non-Metropolitan students...? I don't know. BTW the deposit they ask for is quite hefty, £350.- I think. Also, it looks like it can get you into trouble if you want to leave the place earlier. Have you heard of any people who have stayed there? What happens if I want to move out? I don't think I'm gonna stay there forever...
