Telling a girl you like her over the phone?
Bad idea?
Reason being that I haven't seen her in about 2 months but we've talked and kept in touch. We're pretty good friends at the moment, but I think we'd be great together. I was ment to go out with her last week when I stopped off at uni but she cancelled the day before because she had to go back home for the week, she did call and appologise and said we have to do it another time. So atleast she didn't blow me off.
Problem is that I don't see her again until the start of uni, which is another month and I can't take it anymore. I can't stop thinking about her and need to speak to her. Would it be a bad idea if I told her I liked her on the phone? Obviously I wouldn't force it, just if the convo went in that direction.

Sounds like a good idea but if you can, wait till you see her in person, and then tell her... you can say of how much you missed her too. I have got rid of the phone as a medium of communication of relationship matters.

Believe me I would wait, but I can't stop thinking about her. Damn I wish I was back at University
Letters are gay i'm afraid - if i got a letter from a guy at first i'd be happy (regardless of guy) then i'd be freaked out.
I think you should ether call her or meet her. Also if you do it now, if she does blow you off, then she'll have got over it when uni starts and you'll still be friends.
If you wait for uni to start things will be tense for a will without that break.

call her and just have a normal talk. Dont bring up anything....see wat she says. if it doesnt head tat way...dont tell her abt it. Else if sumthin leads that way (usually we tend to think even a simple...i miss uni...means that she misses u ! ) - think and then say what you have to say. And dont beat around the bush too much....dont go ...u see...well....ahem...*cough*..!

Try very hard to get her to meet you - if its over the phone it leads to all sorts of ambiguities, e.g her thinking you were making a joke coz she couldn't see your facial expression etc.
Does she live near you? I just thought that may be difficult if she doesn't.
but still, stress the point ur not making a joke - ive had the same thing happen to me and it caused lots of unnecessary stress!

i agree, best to wait until face to face. that way u can judge her reaction better. absence makes the heart grow fonder and all! altho u should call/talk on msn in the meantime as friends cos otherwise she might think ur in a pissy about her not being able to meet u and it could get complicated. i know this from past experience!

Don't write a letter, she'll think your gay, wait until you go back to uni. Going to see a friend to tell them you like them is just desperate.
