The grade boundaries have been out since March. They were low though, because most of the papers were hard (unit 2 physics was a nightmare!)

We did physics unit 2 paper as practice in our physics class and everyone got above 60% :/ . I guess our teachers are great teachers then. Maths grade boundaries seem high though.

Why dont they just have the grade boundaries fixed and make the paper difficulty in relation to the boundaries? Whats they point in changing the diffuculty every year...?

Edexcel can control the questions, but they can't control how the candidates perform.

Yeah, but cant they tell how difficult the questions are?

They shouldnt NEED to change the boundaries...

thats not fair

The physics boundries seem low but thats not to say, you get an easy A. A mark a minute is pretty tough and alot of the questions are pretty hard imo =/ Maths on the other hand seems high

I found this on the Edexcel website and looking through it I reckon the grade boundaries are very generous. If you look at physics paper 2, it's not too hard of a paper, yet to get an A you only need 45/80 and it's the same story with chemistry. Behind the A it's really congested and often 6 marks separate a whole grade.

What does everyone else think?

i did chemistry unit 1 in jan and in the result sheet it said i got 76/120 ums and it said it was a c. So i did a resit last friday.
wtf 45/80 is 68 ums. omg dont tell me i got an A already. :s-smilie:

Why are the grade boundaries higher in january papers then june?
For example physics A2 has a very high grade boundary for a* whereas it was quite low in june even though the dificulty of the units were almost the same

Does anyone have the grade boundaries and can they upload it over here plzz or tell over here
