it depends on the person, for me;

chest; db press, incline db press, dips
shoulders; military press, seated oh press and lateral raise.

What are the best exercises to work on ya pecs and to widen shoulders?


The best excercises for growth and size are definately compound excercises - a compound exercise involves motion in more than one joint and targeting more than one large muscle group. (eg the squat or the leg press, with joint motion at the hips, knees and ankles, targets the gluteus, hamstrings, quadriceps, ankle flexors and calf muscles).

The best compound movements for the shoulders and the chest - is bench press - this includes flat\incline and decline in my opinion (with more emphasis on the flat), dumbell press, pull overs, Front shoulder press, over ehad dumbell press - this gives a better free range than front press and works those smaller muscle groups, for traps u cannot beat clavical raises and shrugs, lat pull downs and\or wide arm chins - this may not target the chest or shoulder area but it definately makes u wider. I would also suggest squat and deadlifts - squats require lots of hard work and lots of heavy breathing and a lot of people swear that as a result this makes ur rib cage and chest bigger.

To find out how to carry out these excercises - simply type the names into google and u will be surprised as 2 how many results come up - many of them with diagrams.
