I know of a result of such a marriage. It doesn't bode well for the child's intelligence.
I always thought it was illegal, or at least was frowned upon quite a lot in society these days.
I would never think of doing it, considering I have only 1 female cousin and she is 10  but still, no.

think its pretty sick tbh.

My friend used to date her cousin (not blood related, obv.) but they're just friends now. I thought it was weird even though they weren't family but if yo think about it it's not that big of a deal.

Reply 5

It's not illegal. And at least you don't have to meet the parents for the first time!

Ah right ok.
lol yeh i guess there is that.

Maybe, threadstarter, make a poll?

Each to their own I suppose. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't blood related but it's still a little weird. I know it's not something I would ever go for though *shudders at the thought*

Practically everyone in my family is too (parents, etc.). So for me, I would consider it normal.

Well the Royal Family are a bunch of inbreds.

i think it's fine, but where having children comes into concern, hmm i dunno! not for that fact some people might think its ewww but just for the child and lack of genes, could come out funny etc! xx

Have you ever heard of the concept of inbreeding?

Reply 15

It's ****ed up, sorry and no offence if people's parents are etc. but imo it's just wrong. Disagree with step-sibling marriages, adopted sibling marriages etc.

Yeah, why do you think it is that most of the European Royal families at the start of the 20th century suffered from haemophilia?

Reply 17

I know, becuase the genes were all screwed up.

Isn't it that you can't marry your first cousins its illegal and their kids will end up with genetic problems?
