ok, this is totally bugging me! in the review in saturday's guardian there was a literary competition. anyway, the tiebreaker is as follows...

which Burgundy wine links three of Sebastian Faulks' books - Birdsong, The Girl at the Lion d'or, Charlotte Gray?

i can't figure it out. any tips or the answer (with explanation - i don't want to enter, i just want to understand it!) would b fab.

Well I can certainly relate to the 'anal' dimension in all of this; and of course knowledge is supremacy: would that I weren't such a stolid utility-maximiser: if I don't try, then I don't fail. :wink:

Grasping at straws: it isn't Chateau D'Or et de Gueules, is it?
