Im from the UK and hope to go to a university in England, hopefully somewhere like Warwick, Southampton, Bristol etc.

Ive been to look round a few on open days but didnt really get a chance to look at accommodation for undergraduates.

i guess its hard to generalise since all universities are different, but what is the accommodation often like?
im not too bothered about size/facilities etc. (since im at a boarding school at the moment and my room is barely a few square metres).
how is everyone grouped together? do you have several people sharing a flat, or are there corridors where everyone has/shares a room along it?
are the halls mixed or single sex? are people grouped randomly, or does it depend on what subject you're taking?

    thanks for your time

Every uni is different, and infact most halls within a uni are different.

I can garentee that there will be at least 1 halls for every combination youve listed.

just google "warwick uni accomidation" or wherever your looking at and it will show you, most uni accomidation websites are clear and easy to navigate

Usually just dorms along a hall with a shared kitchen.

There aren't many single sex halls, and from my experience of perhaps nine or ten university's halls (visiting friends etc) I'd say people aren't grouped at all; you're either in a corridor in a hall, or in part of a flat, completely at random.
