If you get emergency contraception from your GP or local sexual health clinic, they usually request that you go back for a pregnancy test.

I just got mine from the chemist

How long after the event did you take it. For peace of mind it might be worth while doing a test.

Prepare for what feels like the biggest hangover of your life... That many chemicals... oww :frown:
I did get mine from the docs, as I forgot to take my pills away for the weekend with me.
Its a bigger dosage of the pill and makes you feel a bit sicky after taking it, due to the increase in hormones released by it.
The doc also recommended me to carry on taking my pill and using protection during sex until next period and if late to come back immediately. My periods started the same as normal. I don't know if this would be the same for someone just taking the morning after pill and nothing else.

I've always been offered it - at St Barts Sexual Health Clinic, they make you make an appointment for a test when they give you the pill pack...
57% come within 3 days of the expected date.
15% come on early.
15% have a delay between 3 and 7 days.
13% have a delay of more than 7 days.

So yeah don't worry if you're early or late. You could always take a pregnany test if you feel it would put your mind at rest or if you become really late.
