Just wondering does anyone have any particular revision techniques they use? what sort of things do you do? did the work for you in the exams?
Just curious, to see if all of us can use these techniques to try and improve our results, although revision is purely a personal thing.
I kind of defied what my teachers told me to do. Instead of condensing my notes I wrote them all out again in full with structured headings etc. and then began the process of absorbing it all and repeating from memory till I could recite everything. I then tested that repetition of my notes every day till my exams. It worked really well, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
keep revising and revising and revising and revising.
but make sure whatever u revise, it should be matched with the specification of ur board.
This helps the stuff to get into ur "long term" memory.
and then ofcourse do somethings extra like :
1) Finish ur exam paper within 45 mins if its 1.5 hour paper - speeds up ur thinkin
2) Do very old pastpapers cuz they r tough and when u can do them very well... u will find the new years pastpapers very easy.
3)Jus like workouts.. "rest" is more important then exercises.. similar thing applies here.. have rest and do get urself into weightliftin lol...
