A (0.3kg) is on a rough horizontal plane and B (0.5kg) is hanging from a pulley P attached at the end, with 0.6m between B and the ground
There is 1m between A and P. The coefficient of friction of the plane is 0.4.
I have already worked out the acceleration of the particles which is 4.655
When B hits the ground it doesnt rebound.
*Find the speed of A as it reaches P
(the answer is 1.57 to 3sf)

Assuming A and B are joined by string...
1) find the speed of A after it has travelled 0.6m, using constant acceleration equations (same as speed of B)
2) work out new acceleration of A (deceleration) now that there is no tension in the string
3) use the constant acceleration equations, you know u, a and s
