If the new gems look pretty then I'm happy enough. I think, personally, that the number of gems we have should be determined by rep but they should all be green, unless you're a sub - when you get to choose what colour(s) they are. That would be cool, I could have pink gems.
You like pink far too much for a supposedly straight man  :pimp:

I shall definitely attend the next one, although it may be a better idea to book a train ticket rather than a coach ticket. At least if I miss a train, the ticket would still be valid for the next one.

Or we could have the meet further up North. Liverpool perhaps?
I'd nominate Birmingham. I know London is easy to get to for quite a lot of people, but think of us members from the northern wastelands - unless you book 6 months in advance you have to remortgage your house to travel to London

How about making the next meet further north and inviting MUN members as well for a joint meet? Many MUN people are in the HoC as well, but the MUN doesn't really have enough active members in the country for a MUN meet, so we could all meet together?

I'm willing to bet we'll get a lower turnout if we have the meet further North, but I'm not opposed to travelling.

Love the idea of a joint meet. The only places we tend to see meets working in groups of this size are London and Birmingham, as they're the major rail hubs so are easiest to get to. A meet in Birmingham could work, however are there HoC members who live there that are willing to let people crash? That's usually the second most important thing for a meet.

Is that advisable? Being drunk and wielding a needle?
Well she fixed his shirt pretty competently and continued building little stress pill men so I should imagine only under trained hands... and definitely don't let Paddy see you have sharp things when he's drunk...

Manchester's easy to get to and I have a bit of crash space there. It's also such a ridiculously cheap city to enjoy yourself in.

Wrong way round we went back to mine not to his. My flatemate was amazed I was able to argue so coherently while drunk. Didn't believe I was until after LH left and I was unable to make a cup of tea without ruining the kitchen :p:

Manchester would be pretty cool. Birmingham is less cheap but easier to get to for many people.

We could not do it in a big city, village pub for the win. Problem is obviously transport in that scenario.

Manchester is 2 hours from London, a little over an hour from Birmingham, has megabuses coming in from everywhere and is only really a problem for people in the south-west. There's direct trains to Cardiff too.
