I have a sequence i am not sure how to work it out even though i have been doing a couple of these questions...

Un= 2n+1/n-3, Un=19/6

So I put it into the equation as

19/6= 2n+1/n-3
but i don't know what to do from this point if anybody can help me with the steps from here i'll appreciate it a lot.

Thanks

doesn't look like any sequence question i've seen, but yeah it looks to me like if you solve for n you will get the term number of the term given...

whats the question?

Just cross-multiply and simplify.

If no integer answer comes out, you're either asking the wrong question or you've copied it down wrong.

the next step after 19/6=(2n+1)/(n-3) is to cross multiply. after you cross multiply you get 19n-57=12n+6; then you combine like terms and get n to be 9 as your final answer. hope that helps.
