She isn't German, she's too informal and too drunk! I enjoyed it though.
Too drunk?

Have you ever been to Oktoberfest before? :p:

Does Portugal think it can reverse it's horrific failures at Eurovision with a ballad in fracking Portuguese?

If you want to win with ballad, you do it in English

Poor effort Portugal. I usually like their entries, even voted for last year's one.

But were they real?

The German chick's quite cute & quirky. The song ( in beautiful English) is an upbeat little ditty but not in a cheesy way.
Ah, you just like the a certain type of girls. :eyeball: And I don't they were real. She probably got them enhanced to stand up the big apricot on the stage.

Portugal girl is one of the best singers yet though. Don't think she will do that well. Maybe top 7-15 spot somewhere.

There are worse ones than Portugal's London-based singer (Andrea Corr of the Corrs crossed with Carrie from SATC) not singing in English.

I find a song less powerful when you can't understand the lyrics..

Again, what's with the singing of ballads in native languages? It will never, ever do well. Hebrew is a really bad language to sing in as well IMHO. Singing in your native language is great if you've got a dance, rock or techno number which people can just move to, but ballads are at least partly about the lyrics and you need to sing it in the most accessible language to get the message across.
