Why doesn't warwick list on any of the 'mechanical engineering' league tables? watch

    Cuz they do a general engineering course in year 1 and then you specialise later or something..

    That's a problem for Warwick and it would make me automatically regard them, by default, as being outside of the top 30, or even top 40, for that subject. The grades that they ask for will be higher than many of course because of the Warwick name but, make no mistake, otherwise highly regarded universities can be low ranking in some subjects.

    The likes of Oxbridge, Imperial, Southampton, Loughborough, Bath, Sheffield are most highly ranked for Engineering.

    Warwick's strengths are mostly the arts and Maths.
