Why do people think its clever to correct other people's spelling or grammar in posts?
I think is pathetic and don't do it because I got a life.
This is a boring debate that comes up on here all the time.
Then the dyslexics come on and say they can't help it.
Then the grammar/spelling nazis come on and tell them how easy it is to spell check stuff before posting.
Counter argument is that it's a forum and they can't be bothered. Fair point.
To be honest, just get over it.
I only do it to people who say they've got good grammar, e.g. the recent thread about the ebay scamm from Nigeria.
However, I like to type because I don't want to come across as a ********; I let the content do that!
I spot mistakes all the time, however I say nothing as it seems big-headed and ostentatious. If you are genuinely trying to educate the person I suppose I can understand, more often than not though it's just to viciously make the person look small and stupid. Clearly people who do such things are self-conscious about their own education, and belittle others to make themselves feel better.
There are so many people on here who think academic prowess makes them untouchables. Put them out on the streets for a week and see if they're still whining about grammar then.
I do it only when somebody makes a statement about them being intelligent or me being stupid or similar nonsense in the middle of a debate/argument, just for lols.
Aside from that my grammar is, largely, less than proficient on TSR.
