I was just doing some stats revision when this question is yet very simple but I
can't understand why it gets this answer;

(photo of question is attached)

Basically it is implying that the class boundary of 0-4 is 5 when it
makes more sense for it to be 4.5 because you can't have negative
ages. The answer for a) is 2.9 and the class width for this is 29 so
they obviously multiply 29 by 0.1 which is what you get if you divide
0.5 by 5.

So can you explain why the width of 0-4 is 5?

Thanks

Look past the wording and just do the question. It makes no sense, but just apply the basic method that you've been taught/learnt. Easy as..
