Its a world class airport, with a nice Duty Free section for shopping. Don't worry, its not the 'grim place' that people expect from being in the Middle East, you won't see people hanged by their neck from outside the airport windows Its actually a lot nicer then many western airports. It even has escalators

It's a lovely airport, probably one of the poshest one I've been too. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are great places, not shabby in the least! I went to both of those airports travelling on my own aged 15/16 and came out fine Just be wary of the "helpful" men who take your suitcase trolley from you but then expect money from you when you're outside!

Didn't see anything bad about it in the slightest. My boyfriend loved it because it has little telephone booths that you smoke in, as well as a big smoking room where you'll meet loads of funky international people. :P
Alcohol in the duty free exceedingly cheap too!
Beware of asking for tea with milk, they'll give you loads of milk and it'll be hot milk too!
