I have just applied for the LPC through Lawcabs today as was misinformed by someone in the SRA that if I had applied to them and had a training contract there was no need to apply to Lawcabs as they are effectively the same. As mentioned I have a training contract with a firm who specify that I must study at the College of Law Moorgate. Can anybody advise me of the chances of getting a place for the course due to commence in September 2010. I am so worried I will not get any place and have to wait around for a full year having already wasted a year doing one module of the GDL to satisfy SRA requirements as I studied in Ireland. Does anybody know of the demand for these places etc and whether having a training contract will help me in anyway?

Would be grateful for any words of wisdom.
