I took this on the 11th of April - had spotting for 2 days later that week. Then nothing. Am still waiting for a period. But I have taken 2 pregnancy tests, 2 weeks apart, and both negative.

Can girls please tell me how long it took for their period to come back?

I am getting worried

Thanks

You probably haven't started because of the worrying! if the tests came back negative and you've taken the pill then chances are your not pregnant. Give it a few more days if there's still no show go to the doctors they will test you there.

When I took the morning after pill the same spotting happened and I think my period was a lot later than normal. If you've taken two tests then you are most likely not pregnant; the morning after pill will just mess with your cycle a little

I agree with the post about worrying delaying it further. When i took the morning after pill it definitely delayed me but it was so long ago that i cant remember the exact amount of time. Just stop worrying, the pill is ridiculously effective so you should be absolutely fine!

How long after sex did you take it? If it was really soon after, I expect you're worrying about nothing. It says on the NHS direct website it can make it later. I was told to wait three weeks after it was due before I did anything, but this was because I am sometimes late anyway. I can't remember what it was normally. If you're that worried, go to the doctors now.

If you are worrying, then your period won't come. As long as you took the morning after pill within the 72 hour window after the unprotected intercourse, and did not throw up within 12 hours of taking the pill (which as you have had 2 negative tests, I am assuming you took it correctly), then you really have nothing to worry about.
Its understandable that this is a worrying time for you, and you are majorly stressing, but try and relax.
Plus, your GP will tell you everything everyone else here has said, but will probs tell you to come back in 2 weeks or so if your period ahs not returned. It is a good idea to see him, as I imagine you have spend quite a bit of money on pregnancy tests so far... and the GP will do one for free. Plus, he will be able to advice you on seeing a member of the GUM clinic, regarding STD testing which you might want to consider....

Ps. sorry to sound a bit preachy... but I am only a couple of month off being a qualified doctor... and I hope to specialise in women's health
