Firstly, what is the best way of trying to get some work experience: ringing local branches of firms? or e-mailing them? Is there a specific person I should e-mail ? (obviously dependant on firm)
Secondly, when asking is it better to be vague and ask for 'work experience' .fullstop. so as to leave your options open for what they'll give you, or rather ask for something specific such as shadowing a solicitor for a day or two?
