There are 3 points on my licence for a 43mph in a 40 endorsement that prove this.
Forgot to add - it does vary from region to region. I know in the Highlands and Aberdeenshire these are the guidelines, I can't speak for the rest of the country though.

43 in a 40? Man that sucks, unlucky!

I was travelling at 70 plus mph on a dual carriageway and there was a mobile speed camera van parked in a bridge but directly over the opposite carriiageway. Who are they able to check from that position? The traffic heading in the carriageway directly underneath them or both carriageways.
