Yeah, sure. I've just got my results slip today, and found out that I got 194/200 for OCR English Literature, and got an A*. I hate to say it, but I reckon you missed out by little - perhaps 185/200 would have been an A*. I think that would seem about right. You did really well anyway, have you got the individual module marks as well? If so, you know that you've done well, even if you didn't get the A*. Well done on your results.

I got 182/200 and got an A*, so you're pretty close! And it appears that there may have been a miss-hap with the drama paper (general low marks all round) so you may have a chance there of some more marks.

Chances are that 180 marks was an A*..eek!

Reply 4

Thanks everybody. Well done on your a*s!

Reply 5

It's always 180/200 - basically 90%

Get it remarked

Reply 6

That's exactly the same with me! I got 179/200. Is it worth getting it remarked?

Reply 7

Yeah.. we can't all get 197 first time round

The drama paper was bad all round? I got 100% on it!! Erm, whilst we are on the subject of remarking - and I don't want to start another thread, I got 478 for Maths, and 480 was an A grade. I missed out by 2 marks. Does anybody think this is worth getting remarked? I'd really want the A grade, and does anybody know how long I have to get it remarked? And how much it costs etc, cheers.

It may well be if you think you deserved an A grade. It would be highly unlikely to make your grade go down (unless they really mucked up the first time!) and 2 out of 480 marks is nothing - in one of the papers out of 100 that is only 1 mark, so it might be worth a try.

I just found out it is 180 for an A* so I will try and get one more mark. But it costs £50 for both papers to be remarked!

Sometimes the school pays for you.. if you put forward a good case for a remark
