well it depends what you are after... if its money then physiotherapy... there is a lot of money in physiotherapy whereas nursing there isn't a great deal of money, but if you want job satisfaction then they are both on a par, but if its to do with learnign about the stuff related to the subject then nursing is probably harder and you will be mroe respected for it.... although to be a physiotherapist i don't think you have to be fit, but you will have to know the working of muscles and how the body functions with stretching and how joints move, and my cousin who is 20 stone is a physiotherapist, both are good well respected jobs, but their is a great demand for both physiotherapists and nurses so this may not have been any help but it may give you an insight into the professions.

There will be more demand for nurses in this country over the next few years so benefits are likely to increase to get people inot the jobs.

The pay scales for nursing have just been completely revamped and its a better paid job as a result with higher top end salaries. I am a nurse and have to say if I had a choice I would be a physiotherapist instead. The hours are a lot more sociable and there are limits to the number of clients you are allowed to work with as opposed to being left in charge of a ward of 30 patients with only 2 qualified staff and a health care assistant. The days of being respected as a nurse by patients and/or relatives are well and truly over so please don't let that cloud your choice. I am a sister and my annual salary is £27,000 plus overtime but that is after being qualified for 9 years and studying for a total of five years including the specialist course I have taken after gaining my nursing qualification. The advantage of both careers is that you will never be unemployed! However, as I said at the beginning, if you want a life without night shifts and working most weekends then become a physio!!!!
