Wrong Signature in paper !!!

I feel so stupid rite now

i gave the wrong signature in my IGCSE Multiple choice paper ! for Chem
the thing is My Name Candidate Number and Centre Number are already pre printed in my answer sheet which makes the situation worse since my signature would logically be the only thing to verify me :eek3:

its said that the answer is checked using a OCR, so i am really confused if my paper would be disqualfied or something by a machine

how do you put the wrong signature??

Reply 2

Should be okay, technicaly the invidgulators are meant to confirm your identity.

alright
a long time a go i made a very stylish signature , but in my passport i put a formal signature

now i use the stylish one for informal work and the passport one for formal occasion ( i.e IGCSE !)
in school i use the sylish one, for papers and stuffs and used it in my mocks

then in the exam when they asked for the signature i forgot which one did i enter since i dont remember using my passport signature anytime last year in school

i quickly asked the invigilator who was half asleep and didnt know which exam it was
she hesistantly replied " just put what you put in the mock "

i am pretty sure that my mocks papers werent sent to CIE however some document in the past which i signed did and in that logical along with that the ill considered advice of the invigilator i put my stylish freaking signature ( if it wasn't for my ego,:s-smilie: ).

so i hope that anwers your question and yes i am a moron, remind me as much as feel like

Would they have your signature on file?? I don't know why they would :s-smilie:

We don't have to sign our exam scripts.

well i have my statement of entry but there is no signature anywhere,
its funny cuz its my freaking signature which i am looking for in a paper printed by a stranger (negative LOL )

i checked a few posts regarding candidate number ( many thread in TSR ) but its mostly about GCSE i am so sure about IGCSE.

I doubt it matters really, many people have very messy signatures and no two are identical, when I receive parcels I sometimes just put a swiggly line. It's more just to confirm you've signed that you're doing this paper, any signature will probably do tbh I doubt they compare them, anyway the rest of your writing style will be the same.

Yep peoples signatures change all the time. What would the exam board have to compare it to anyway?

The signiture is to confirm it is your own work and so if you copy, you are in breach of contract. People change their signiture especially round our age. Don;t worry:smile:

you should really have one unique signature instead of changing. lol when i saw the heading of this thread, i just couldn't figure out how one will put a wrong signature

Reply 10

theres nothing that says you cant change your signature, people do it all the time, they dont really use it to check i dont think, as my signature for my last exams was probably very different to the exams I did when I was in year 9, and there has never been a problem for me

Reply 11

will they even have anything to compare your signature too... its not like buying something with a bank card and having to sign for it, they cant really verify the signature can they, as long as you put something on the signature line, im sure it wont matter

Reply 12

Don't worry about it. Do you remember signing in your statement of entry or somewhere else? They have nothing to compare it to.

On a more serious note, how could you possibly put a wrong signature?

Reply 13

thx for the reply everyone
i spoke to the examination officer today and accordingly to him its just a formality which is not used for any reason than just to maintain tradition

Reply 14

How could you put a signature that is wrong?

Reply 15

The "wrong" signature?

The reason i am asking is i feel i did the same mistake and wanted to know whether they faced any problems because of that error
