Retaking Art GCSE

I have just finished my Art GCSE, and was wondering-
If I want to redo the GCSE Art Exam itself (the part that's worth 40%, the controlled assesment) would I be able to just take next year's Art GCSE Exam and submit the coursework I did for this year? So basically what I'm saying is, can I redo my art gcse with my previous coursework?
Help/advice would be much appreciated! :smile:

It’s unlikely they were able to, retaking art is messy and usually the whole class needs their work remarked which not eveyone may agree to.

Theoretically, if everyone agreed for it to be remarked and you still didn't get the grade you wanted, could you retake it? I did Edexcel art and I've heard you can improve your coursework and redo just the exam component

I’d only bother retaking if you really need a specific grade if you’re taking art a level. If not, I wouldn’t bother

I contacted Edexcel a while back and they said you can pretty much, depends if your school will allow it though. I'm doing my A-Levels now so haven't retaken this year but am planning to in the future because doing it before A-Levels was stressful enough haha (didn't fail, just wanted a better grade, I put so many hours into it).
