has anyone any tips on how to play a tune while playing the other bits on the same hand, for example Le Onde (btw is it pronounced Le On-Day or as one syllible Onde?) or the nicest piece ever, The Heart Ask Pleasure First.

its just that i find it hard to make the tune louder... thanks

Try playing the tune but miming the other notes...so you're not actually playing the other parts...just pretending to. If that makes sense.

Also you can practice really slowly just accenting the melody note and then the next note play it really quietly and then carry on doing that.

question:

Does the Exposition in a Sonata have to have 2 themes? or can it just have one theme and end in a different key? or have the same theme but varied a bit?

An exposition as far as I know, has 2 themes in different keys. Generally a fast theme and then a more lyrical one.
