I feel fat and crap...

Basically, I was fighting a cold and sore throat all last week but it got worse and now I've got 'flu. I've been in bed since Sunday and I feel so fat and lazy 'coz I'm eating comfort food and not getting any exercise. I've lost a stone and a half over the last six months and now I'm really missing feeling good about what I'm eating and my exercise - I haven't been on a run in two weeks! :frown:

Please could any of you cheer me up? :frown:

finally some warning levels.

snuggerough apologises. snuggerough merely wanted to know how to acquire warning status.

The truth is snuggerough is the fat and lonely one. sorry

sorry how did u work our snuggerough was judgemental. oh yeah, u judged me. Ur the hypocrite.

Snuggerough said that they could not stand fat people because the MAJORITY not all, have put themselves in that position. so DON'T whine about it.

what is this, fat club united or something

You know what? I was about to defend you on another thread because I thought your third person thing was funny...now I think you're an annoying prat. And yes, I'm being judgemental. You've given me plenty of reason to be in your responses. As BellaCat perceptively noticed, I said I felt fat, not that I was fat, but that shouldn't even be an issue. I asked if any of the kind TSR members I know would do me the favour of cheering me up, because I feel a bit down - it being implied that I am a fat comfort eater who reaches for the biscuits every time something goes wrong was not what I wanted to hear....(and besides anything else it's not true)

I'm sure it says on this forum somewhere that is you have nothing nice or helpful to say in H&R then don't bother posting...take heed snuggerough...

To everyone else, thank you muchly for your kind responses  :hugs:

well no snuggerough aint fat or lonely, but isn't gullibility such an endearing quality.

snuggerough does apologise for the final time. Snuggerough was really just trying to acquire warning status. It worked.

as for the third person bit. Snuggerough was unaware that there was a rule preventing this. so what's the problem ?

Apology accepted, but I think it's pretty sad trying to acquire warning status, and mean to put people down in order to do so...

As for the third person thing, just 'coz there's no rule against something doesn't mean it's not annoying...
Chucked in every now and then, it's quite funny, but every single time, it's annoying.

wrong wrong wrong

snuggerough put no one down. Snuggerough made a contentious generalisation. Snuggerough was then attacked and called a wa**a and t**t by different people. Snuggerough put no one down. nuggerough was put down and defended themself

the third person business is not meant to be funny. Snuggerough thinks it more odd that people here use the first person perspective calling themselves by bizarre names. Talking by the third person is an acknowledgement that this is not a real person, but a fictitious identity. U lot are the odd ones.

Stop the judgments lady.

Nothing like as much as I was. I was overweight (according to BMI) by 2 stone 2 pounds, now I'm overweight (again, according to BMI) by 9 pounds...

I was just saying I felt fat because I haven't been able to exercise while being ill, and haven't eaten as well as I was doing, because I'm out of routine. I was just (pathetically, yes) looking for some reassurance that this wasn't a big deal...
it's not the first time u have asked for reassurance, looking at ur profile LHMarsh. hehe

ur an attention seeker. how can a stranger who doesn't even know u reassure u ?

fair question.

The question was temporarily left unanswered because I was deciding whether or not to argue with you when I already feel crap, but I feel I should defend myself.

I'm not an attention seeker. If I was an attention seeker I would complain to the people around me and seek their attention instead of letting get on with their lives as I am doing. A lot of the time I try to avoid attention - I have been called self-effacing on a number of occasions which would, to me, suggest that I'm not attention seeking. To turn the question around, how can you call me, a stranger, an attention seeker when you have no idea of my actual actions in real life?

A (nice) stranger who doesn't even know me can reassure me because they can empathise - they may have been through a similar thing themselves, and have some useful advice/reassuring things to say...surely this is half the point of a H&R subforum? I think it is less selfish of me to put my problem to some of my online friends than it is to continually seek the time and attention of the people in my life who usually talk to me about these things...

Speaking of attention seeking, you insist on referring to yourself in a manner which you know continually attracts attention and comment, and you purposely set out to achieve warning status, then claim that you are the 'fat and lonely' one, only to go back on yourself. I think I've spent enough time on this response.
dearest LHMarsh, Snuggerough was unaware that this was an argument. no need to get the knives out just yet - stress can be a terrible thing. The bible says Judge thee, and prepare to be judged yourself. When snuggerough refered to u as an attention seeker, the phrase was put into practice. u unfairly judges snuggerough and continue to do so.

snuggerough is the fountain of knowledge when it comes to issues of solitude and suffering so there is empathy.

when u suggest that writing in the third person is attention seeking, snuggerough would remind u not to judge others by your own standards.
