does anyone know any good online crosswords? (free ones that is!) The independant has stopped doing its onlines crosswords, and how else am i supposed to get through a day at work.
I read the Indy usually but the Socıalıst Worker ıf ı can get ıt. Its actually very well made.
I used to read The Indie.. then I decided I wanted opinions.. so switched to the Guardian. I sometimes get The Times instead though.. and read the Spectator (my Grandfather foists it on me!), Economist and Private Eye occasionally.
The Scotsman, The Independent, The Times, The Financial Times and The Guardian. I usually get two of these a day, more than likely The Scotsman and The Independent.
I very rarely read The Guardian - it's too difficult to read on public transport, and a really patronising play / article a couple of months ago about community service from a prisoner's point of view pissed me off into not buying it often. It's just too biased and liberal for me.
The St.Louis Post Dispatch. And what b0llocks it is.
I read the Independent, and haven't changed, except during the election I bought the Mirror.
I read Freedom, but sometimes read the Daily Mail.
The Independent, The Times, and The Gaurdian.
The first is the best newspaper in the country in my opinion, the second is the one I tend to read the most simply because it's laying around the house, and third is often the source of very brave and challenging journalism, even though it often lets itself down with poor style, layout, editing, and the tendency to occasionally go a bit off the rails.
I'm tempted to start reading the Economist now... If the economist is a newspaper, does the New Scientist count?
We used to get all the major national newspapers deivered to our sixth form centre so I've read most of them.
Mine's the Guardian, I enjoy the scientific edition and all the extras you get on a saturday- I do read the actual newspaper on occaison and the articles are usually quite good even if I don't agree with them. The times isn't my cup of tea and I've only read the Socialist worker once- those socialists are always hanging around Ealing Broadway. The Independant's pretty boring and the Sun's always good for a laugh, and contains possibly the only crossword that I can complete.
I read The Times/The Sunday Times, my local newspaper and er, sometimes the Daily Mail!
The Times is ok, i find its student section especially informative. My local paper, bless it, seems to always be campaigning for something to be changed, anything almost! And the Daily Mail is unintentional comedy...
(but shouldn't the poll have more than one option only? Personally, i don't read one the most....)
