Ooooh this thread has advanced a lot today! So much stuff to reply to! lol

Matt - the "shortcut" from Hawthorne Terrace to the Science Site without going through town is that at the end of Hawthorne, turn right and follow the main road up through a set of traffic lights (at a crossroad) then carry on following the road. Eventually you'll come past Durham School (it'll be on your right) and then further along past the Hill side entrance to Prebends Bridge (the white gate)....carry on along straight past the roundabout and you get to the Science Site

Cobra - I don't know if we've discussed this, but 2 of my best friends are living on Bradford Crescent next year! They pretty much right next to the Sixth Form College

Also, I think that the distance from where, erm, whoever it was living in the Cuths accomodation on the Hill (is it in Teikyo?) is probably a shorter distance to Engineering. It's definitely not further UP the hill than Grey, where you could technically be all the way back near Collingwood

And finally - going from Cumbria to Durham isn't that slow, although there isn't a motorway, the A69 is a big road and is pretty quick
nicely summed up dobbs... we spent hours on that :p:

Going from Cumbria to Durham takes about 90 minutes if you go from my house--->Carlisle---->Newcastle---->Durham, which is they way I always go. It's fine as long as you don't get stuck behind a tractor.....
hehe dont ya just love tractors  as long as ur not behind them.... is the tractor prob in cumbria as big as it is in somerset? lol i was there 4 my holis this year and theres more tractors than cars!!!

Two friends called Helena and Rachael (my ex!)....I won't say which number exactly, but it's in the 70's

Helena's dad is a landlord in York so he actually bought the house and is renting it to them. Although there's only the 2 people in it, their house is exactly the same as mine (which has 4 people in it)....just one of their bedrooms is the size of 2 of ours, and we lack a dining room!

Yep it is. If you come along the main road to your street and you get to the cross road where if you go straight ahead you enter the 6th form, your house will be to the right and my friends live to the left
