traditional vs non traditional subjects

hey

jus wonderin how much emphasis cam puts on doing traditional subjects for alevel..if i chose to study business over chemistry because i got a higher grade for it then would that affect my application in a negative way?

i reckon it would affect your application in a negative way, but not by much. That's just my opinion I don't think anyone knows the definitive answer regarding choices which arent relative to the subject you're applying for. But I still reckon they'd prefer to see traditional subjects simply cos they tend to be harder.

She's applying for English - Kay, in your case, I'd probably go with the business - it's more essay based I suppose.

yup im applying for english
and i was talking bout A2, none of the subjects r actually directly relevant to my course and yer im doing 2 tradtiional subjects already and to be totally honest i dnt like any of those subjects, im jus doing them for the sake of fitting another subject into my timetable..

and thanks minimo..that does seem like a sensible reason to chose the subject
